Monday, September 2, 2013 – Rain in San Felipe, Part 1

Posted by on September 2, 2013

The rainstorms on Thursday, August 28th were a dramatic change for San Felipe’s constantly sunny, dry climate. The all-day drenching brought more rain than San Felipe had seen in years and flooded much of the downtown.  By now, the entire town is dried out and back to beautiful sunny weather, but the rainy day certainly brought some dramatic scenes. Take a look at San Felipe right after the rains!

Helping hands free a car from a flooded section of town.

A little water isn't holding San Felipe's bicyclers back!

Dramatic Skies for San Felipe!

Amazing how the rain can come down in the desert! And then, almost just as fast, the water is cleared, and town is back to its sunny self. More photos on Wednesday! Leave a comment below, were you here for the rains?
