Yesterday brought the snowbirds out to San Felipe’s Malecon, despite the cooler cloudy day (They’re a resilient bunch, or maybe they were motivated by the free food and beer!) A nice sized crowd gathered on the little section of Chetumal street that joins into the Malecon.
Tents were assembled with a buffet-style setup, and Tecate chairs were lined up so everyone could watch the presentations, and get a good view of the Sea of Cortez draped in blue clouds.
Through a prestigious selection process consisting of ad libbed dancing and crowd appreciation applause, this year’s Snowbird King and Queen were selected and crowned.
And the party went on with raffles, the traditional dancers dipping and swirling, and a few young vocal talents lending their voices to the party!
Once again, San Felipe throws a great party. Everyone had fun, with lots of laughing, eating and visiting.
