Tide comes up in, lifting up the old boat skeletons.

While town gets a bit sleepy and inactive  during the summer, there’s still plenty of fun to be had if you look for it. Head out for a sail around the bay, and stop to hop off the Hobie Cat for a swim while you’re out there for a fun and exciting way to cool down.

Stroll across the bridge at the end of the Malecon for a view of downtown, or head all the way up to the shrine for views of the lighthouse, sea and town!

Play a round of pool volleyball at El Dorado to stay active and have a good time with friends while enjoying a little friendly competition.

Go for an evening swim in the ocean to enjoy the warm water while skipping the direct sunlight – the best beaches could be the ones to the south of town or the beach between Machorro and the lighthouse.

Sun, sand and sea is the perfect combination for San Felipe August.
